Krewe of Barkus: Modeled after the traditional Krewe of Barkus parade held annually in New Orleans in celebration of Mardi Gras, the city of McKinney hosts its own canine parade for the 15th year in a row this Sunday from 2 to 4:30 pm. In years past, more than 250 dogs have participated in this parade by dressing up and walking with their owners, starting at Mitchell Park in McKinney. For more information, click here.

Oak Cliff Mardi Gras: The Mardi Gras Oak Cliff parade and celebration will be on Sunday from 4 pm to 12 am. It’ll take place in the Oak Cliff neighborhood, starting on West Davis Street into the Bishop Arts District. It’s free to attend! Learn more here.

Hidden Worlds Revealed: The Perot Museum has a new exhibit -Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed- that recently opened on February 11th. The largest traveling Maya exhibition ever present in the United States, at 10,000 square-feet, displays more than 200 authentic artifacts and immersive environments to explore one of the most powerful indigenous Mesoamerican civilizations. The bilingual exhibition is presented by Highland Capital Management and will run through September 4th of this year! Learn more here.
