Joey’s Fantasy Football
A list of my fantasy football lineup
Hello fantasy football lovers, I am here to give you some tips on lineups to set in hopes of you guys having the best team every Sunday. The advice I have is for those one-day fantasy leagues like Draftkings and FanDuel. I wish to set you up for success and help you create a winning team based on recent stats, averages and overall team play. Here is a lineup I have set for week five.
Quarterback: Philip Rivers– The quarterback bounced back after his bad day in week three, but he threw three touchdowns against the highly respected Denver Broncos defense. Against a struggling Giants team, I think he builds on last week.
Running back 1: Bilal Powell– The Jets’ running back got off to a rough start, but his carries have increased and so has his performance. The Browns’ defense is ranked 23rd overall against running backs this season.
RB 2: Christian McCaffrey– He is not your typical ground and pound RB. He gets most of his yards in the receiving game by running in the flats out of the backfield or even lining up on the line of scrimmage. With a total of 22 receptions and 206 yards so far, I think Cam Newton will keep finding him and maybe get a couple touchdowns.
Wide Receiver: T.Y. Hilton– Even though the Colts are still without their star, Andrew Luck, Hilton is still targeted heavily and makes the most out of it in the open field. I see Hilton being able to get great separation this week against the 49ers secondary.
WR: Keenan Allen– He is one of Philip Rivers’ favorite receivers and has caught at least five balls in each game so far. I see the two hooking up some more in week five.
WR: Brice Butler– He is definitely my heavy sleeper for this week, but has done a nice job of getting open and Dak Prescott seems to find him. The Cowboys will need to play great this Sunday. Butler is a deep threat for Prescott and I see him making some big plays in the pass game on 50/50 balls.
Tight End: Austin Seferian-Jenkins– He has not produced big numbers yet, but has been targeted 10 times so far in the only two games he has played in, so he looks like a reliable guy to get the ball, too.
Flex: A.J. Green– The elite Bengals wide receiver is always heavily targeted. This one could come back and haunt you because the Bills have a great pass defense, but you never know on any given week.
Defense/Special teams: Titans- They are not the best option, but Miami is without their usual starting quarterback, so I don’t see the Dolphins putting up huge numbers.
This is my lineup for week five of the NFL. Feel free to always make changes or tweaks to it; you might get lucky and win some money or have bragging rights over friends. That is it for now, see you guys next week.
