Track Athletes Qualify for State
The track and field regional qualifiers competed on April 23 and 24 at the University of Texas Arlington and qualified for state.
elay – Kaylee Moody, Ibukun Alausa, Kaley Qualls, Tiriah Kelley (Lane 5)
4×200 Relay – Kaylee Moody, Janiya Richardson, Kaley Qualls, Ibukun Alausa (Lane 6)
100 Meter Dash – Tiriah Kelley (Lane 6, video is laggy)
200 Meter Dash – Tiriah Kelley (Lane 6)
Junior Aiden Hayes cleared 6’4 in the high jump to finish 2nd and qualify for state. Aiden joined the team in February after basketball season and has cleared 6’6 this season.
Dylan Hayden qualified in the 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles. He ran four races on Saturday and finished 4th in the 110 Hurdles and 6th in the 300 Hurdles.
The boy’s 4×400 Relay was represented by Donovan Bush, Chidozie Igwe, Jaylon Hatcher, and Luis Chamu.
The state meet will be held at the University of Texas.
