As the new Newspaper Adviser at Plano East Senior High School, Mr. Birnbaum is excited to be a part of such a diverse, well-rounded staff. This is his 13th year teaching in Texas. He spent the last few years at Argyle High School. He has lived in Texas for over 14 years now, but was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. After college, he spent seven years working for CNN as a writer and associate producer. He eventually transitioned to the field of public relations, working for clients in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Tulsa, where his goal was to gain positive publicity and media exposure for a multitude of clients. Eventually, he decided to follow in my parents’ footsteps and become an educator. He relocated to Texas and never looked back.
